MapxencaRS is a high end designer label that makes custom made designs for women and men. The brand was started by twin sisters Riddhi and Siddhi Mapxencar in September 2009. The concept of the brand is Western, which creates structured and conceptualized garments with futuristic elements. Riddhi and Siddhi like to use embroidery in the garments to create an illusion of print and textures. The attire is made only from pure silks, natural cottons and linen, which are meticulously made.

Designers Riddhi and Siddhi have dressed a lot of stars and celebrities like Actress Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Mugdha Godse, Urmil Matodankar, Pooja Missra, ex-Miss world runner-up Parvathy Omanakuttan, Shweta Salve, Sonali Bendre and most recently Tejasvi Duvuri, all were spotted wearing mapxencaRS label.

Riddhi and Siddhi Mapxencar showcased their latest collection “Waves of Temptation” at India Resort Fashion Week 2012. The theme was a continuation of the previous collection “Dark Temptations”. It focused on the intensities of temptations that a person experienced by exploring love. In the beginning, we experienced the innocent, fragile and purist emotions, then we go to dark emotions of lust, jealousy and hatred, which turns love upside down.
“We were extremely excited to be part of IRFW 2012. Resort collection is not restricted only to swimwear or beach wear. It’s a lifestyle in itself, and we made sure that the entire experience of resort wear was imbibed in our collection.”
“This particular fashion show is very close to our heart, as it was in Goa, the place where we were brought up for nearly 20 years. Our friends and family were equally excited about it. The response was overwhelming. People, who came to see the show, were extremely thrilled and happy about the show. The garments were loved by everyone.”
“As we said before, we are basically from Goa…So it’s our home…We were looking for an opportunity to showcase a show for quite sometime…What better opportunity than India Resort Fashion Week….It is a great platform for both established and upcoming talents too.”
“Resort collection was a bit challenging for us, as we have mostly done structured garments, since the inception of our label, and that is what we are known for. So, this time we made sure that the structure was mixed with fluidity.”
The collection featured mint blues, salmon pink, dull gold shades, and then graduated into darker tones, like black and etc. (represented dark feelings). The garments embraced flowing textures with a lot of wave details used in constructions.
“We do structured garments, but for this line we worked with textures and layering on fluid silhouettes. Yes, we know it’s Resort, but there will be no bikinis! We have day and evening looks that will work year-round. Look out for our signature power sleeves, though it will be a bit relaxed here.”
“We made total of 30 garments, 15 colorful and the rest 15- all black….”Waves of Temptation” is an extension of our last collection “Dark Temptations”, so some of the pieces from the last collection were incorporated into this collection too.”

MapxencaRS “Waves of Temptation” collection featured beautiful light silhouettes combined with the elements, like power shoulders, texturing on fabric, subtle self embroidery and etc.
