Holly Fulton incorporated her signature Art Deco-inspired prints with an exotic element, inspired by the humid jungle of a garden greenhouse. Another of her inspiration was Lady Chatterley in the atmosphere of a hot summer day. “I liked the idea that my woman had been misbehaving down in the garden, and had to find her way back to the manor house. So she was a little disheveled and messy,” Holly Fulton said. Fitted cocktail dresses came in printed silk with moths, butterflies, rare flowers and tropical foliage. Oil-coated silk gave to a cropped, hot pink jacket with the appearance of patent leather, while reverse printing gave some of the dresses and pencil skirts a matte look. Holly Fulton sent out her signature style containing geometric prints lavished into simply cut garments, with an eclectic mix of modern materials with a high end finish.
