Pam Hogg showcased her collection at Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week. Her garments focused on the expression of warrior women. The collection was titled “The Emperor’s New Clothes”. This season the designer put on the models large pleated cylinders with a neck strap or glossy boxes as the headgear. Signature sheer panelled catsuits from lace, latex and etc. were worn by ballet dancers and models. There were oversized fur pieces, floor-length chiffon dresses, tailored jackets, coats and so on. Pam Hogg unveiled avant-garde and edgy creations that were a reflection of the designer’s unique point of view.
Nova Chiu, a graduate from London College of Fashion, showed her collection “Wild Edge” for Fall/Winter 2013-14 at Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week. She was inspired by a Korean American artist, Nam June Paik. The designs were developed together with her partner Jeff Archer. Nova Chiu embodied line embroideries, beaded trims, deer/rabbit fur blocks and bold colored leather/suede into the garments. The collection was full of structured silhouettes, three dimensional textures and contrasting colors. Nova Chiu unveiled the spirit of the urban city at night and the wildness of the farmland during the day. The creations were very unique, as they carried a variety of cultural elements from Alaska, native America, and so on.
Edeline Lee presented her Fall 2013 collection at the historic Middle Temple Hall in London. The models played their roles like in a live theater, and the main character “a master” invited the audience to see the collection. Edeline Lee likes to use inspirations based on the history and apply them into modernized version of the garments. She fused clean and simple lines, precise proportions and accuracy of the fabrics were teamed up with a monochrome palette that contrasted with the busy background. The geometric embroidery, bold shoulders, oversized collars, gold panels of fabric, tailored structured silhouettes and etc. were the highlights in the presentation. Edeline Lee enhanced clean, elegant and unconventional attire.
