Designer Aniket Satam debuted with the collection “Aarambh” (New Beginning) at Lakmé Fashion Week. His creations were inspired by the Mayan myth of 2012. Aniket Satam layered the silhouettes by using tactile textures. Shades of ivory, cobalt and ink were splashed on the viscose Georgette, cotton jersey, raw silk and velvet. He added embellishments, such as hints of gold foil, ghungroos (small metallic bells) and abstract embroidery. Aniket Satam applied clever constructions: drapes for sleeves, silk panels, asymmetry and etc. The collection unveiled asymmetrical white raw silk angarkha jacket, maxi dress with raw silk panels and gold foil. Aniket Satam aimed for color burst, flamboyance and fierceness in his collection.
