Designers Steven Hall and Yurika Ohara chose the theme “The Development of European VS American Ritual Form” for their new collection. The duo focused in their new collection on the Victorian Era and attempted to collaborate, in contrast of USA, with functional simplicity of European fashion mixed with formal rituals, such as Edwardian Era. Textile printing, European blend of star patterns and geometric linear of underlying grid patterns were inspired by gray bars, like the Joan of Arc with relaxed style fusion of American natural materials. The flag symbolized the lack of leadership in the world. Steven Hall and Yurika Ohara incorporated the same in the hem and sleeves, by using different materials from various angles. The Gingham stripe combined with a classic design conveyed a new look. The form dough, ruffles, boxes and etc. made up the puff “captivity” impression and neutralized tension by cutting loose the waist. Steven Hall and Yurika Ohara concentrated on the generation of Baby Boomers, who experienced the Bubble Era.
