Bianca Marques always had passion for the forms, since the time of being a ballet dancer. She decided to take a break from dancing and try a new challenge – fashion. In 2007, Bianca Marques opened her first studio in Ipanema. The brand split its line into Pret-a-Porter and Bridal Haute Couture in 2010. The label stands out for its uniqueness. For her latest collection Bianca Marques used references from the world of ballet, she was especially inspired by the principal ballerina of the Teatro Municipal of Rio de Janeiro, Ana Botafogo. The looks were made in predominant colors of black, white, gray and nude. Elongated and flowing shapes, as well as short and tight shapes appeared on the catwalk. Bianca Marques made her creations from tulle, organza, velvet, lace, satin and knitwear. The designer drew to the ballet universe without falling into the category of a “fantasy dancer”. Some of the allusions were there, like the long sleeve pink knitwear, flowing skirts with the details of drapery that resembled the shape of tutus and prints of swans with entwined ribbon details. These elements were combined together with some of the charming details, such as beads that were applied to a knit cardigan and etc. Another highlight on the runway was the participation of dancer Ana Botafogo, who opened the show and also came out in the end of the presentation with designer Bianca Marques.
