Jan Boelo Fall/Winter 2012-13, Amsterdam

Jan Boelo’s collection was inspired by Upper East Side. He demonstrated tight cut suits, skirts and long dresses made out of shiny materials. The show staged the journey back home through the poring rain. Jan Boelo used shiny jerseys, lace, wild hair, faded make-up and sunglasses to accentuate the “wet look”. For women, the designer highlighted long skirts with high slits and tops with deep cleavages. The jackets were fitted with special pocket details. Knit accents on the leather leggings gave some extra flexibility. As for men, Jan Boelo showed sweatpants, tailored shirts and tight suits as party options. He also arranged some relaxing outfits, like sportswear pants and a T-shirt with a loose turtleneck to wear after party. Jan Boelo offered clothes that were easy to party in.
