HARSH HARSH often embodies pearls, sequins, beads, semi-precious stones, silk threads and Swarovski elements combined with prints, motifs and patterns. Deepika Padukone, an Indian film actress and model, primarily known for her work in Hindi language films of Bollywood, was spotted wearing a body-con Baroque art inspired sheath dress by Harsh Harsh at the “Chennai Express” movie promotion in London. This striking elegant piece came from the resort wear 2013 collection, which was inspired by the motifs of Baroque era. The large print on the dress was influenced by scrolling foliage and garlands of flowers. Deepika Padukone looked beautiful in HARSH HARSH garment.
“I was inspired by the sense of drama and a love for the ornate, large scaled motifs from the famous Baroque era. A profusion of plant life characterizes the Baroque style, and since I am a nature lover, I could instantly feel a deep connection between me and the baroque art.”
“Scrolling foliage and garlands of flowers really influenced me to design this large print of exaggerated foliage motifs on that piece. I took black and white as the base color for that dress to represent the concept of dramatic lighting and sharp-contrast from the same era.”
