New York-based fine jewellery designer Monique Péan launched her eponymous line in 2006. The brand emphasizes on ethically sourced rare materials and unique designs. Her latest TU’TIL collection was inspired by Péan’s visit to Mayan archaeological sites in Guatemala. TU’TIL name came from the Mayan word for adornment in the pyramids of Tikal, draped with the natural overgrowth of the rainforest. The collection explored the juxtaposition of a negative space, three-dimensional and geometric forms. Fossilized walrus and woolly mammoth ivory combined with Guatemalan jade, fossilized dinosaur bone, zebra agate, garnet and rhodolite were used to craft the designs. The color scheme, geometric design, and diamond pavé transformed into delicate and bold jewelery creations. This purple fossilized dinosaur bone and white diamond ring comes from Tu’TIL collection. The luxurious ring is crafted from 18 carat recycled white gold, which is adorned with fossilized dinosaur bone and diamonds. It’s available for purchase directly from Monique Péan website.
