Louise Player studied at Central St Martins and graduated in 2013. She worked for Mark Fast and designed freelance for DVF, Ports 1961 and etc. Louise creates unique couture-like knitwear by using antique machinery and forgotten needlecraft techniques. Her last collection “Let Eat the Cake” was inspired by 1960s wedding cakes, Armenian director Sergei Parajanov and Ginger Rodgers. The designer conveyed different techniques in her designs such as faux fur knitting, real sugar craft and so on. Louise Player experimented with silhouettes, fabrics and techniques. Her immense talent was visible in majestic, conceptual and contemporary garments.
