Maison Martin Margiela Couture F/W 2013-14. Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.Maison Martin Margiela “Artisanal” collection transformed vintage pieces into one of a kind creations. Overall the designs united elements from the 19th century, 1920s and 1950s. The creative team displayed vintage jeans and tops made from latex, garments from old curtains, a bustier top made from cabochon stones, a fuchsia satin dress with attached embroidered curtain from Art Nouveau and so on. The masks were crafted from various materials like beads, flowers and sequins tied behind the head. Maison Martin Margiela collaboration with Swarovski resulted in Crystalactite pieces like rings, bracelets, hair clips and even spurs were employed from a fused crystal with a white resin without the use of glue. Each piece in the collection looked organic, unique and meticulously detailed.
